Be pampered with an all inclusive creative weekend at The Seed Creative Workshops, an art studio in beautiful Port Macquarie NSW. Includes a variety of mediums to explore, all meals and drinks, in house boho glamping, a goody bag full of art supplies and a new apron too! Our expert team will provide a fun and supportive environment to help you explore your artistic side while you connect with like minded women and fill your creative cup!

Friday

5-9pm- Open Studio: We welcome you to stay Friday night and get settled in before the early events kick off on Saturday. We will not be serving food on Friday so feel free to drop your stuff and head out to explore Port Macquarie.

Saturday

8:30- Doors officially open

9:00- Breakfast provided in house

9:30- Sign up for a massage

9:45- Watercolour workshop with Cherie

11:00- Morning tea provided by- Baked by Marni

1:00- Ground yourself with a Pottery and botanical session w/ Dee

4:00- Happy Hour & Nibbles provided by The Seed

4:30- Vic begins massages

5:00- Let it flow! Resin pour workshop w/ Aimee

7:00- Thai food catered in

8:30- Soothe your mind with a drumming Sound Journey w/ Vic

Sunday

The magic begins at our art studio on Saturday morning where you’ll get a quick tour of the space, open your goodie bag, put on your new apron (to keep!) and be immersed in our favourite mediums.

Breakfast includes a continental breakfast of breads, muffins, spreads, yogurt, granola, homemade protein balls, juices, coffee and tea.

To kick off the creative workshops we have our super star Cherie (Sher-ee) working with the watercolours. She will get you working with watercolour confidently to go home and continue creating!

Morning tea will be delicious cupcakes baked by Marni, tea and coffee. You will be taking photos of these edible creations before devouring them, promise!

Next up is a special pottery and botanical workshop with our Potter Dee. She will guide you in a native flora and fauna selection, personalising a flower reading based on your choices. Then you'll move into the pottery studio using your hands to create a flower pressed plate, vase, mug or bowl. You will use the slab roller, pinching and coil construction. Option pottery wheel practice is available if you would like to give it a go! Your clay creations will take 2-3 weeks to dry then get bisque fired, glazed, and fired again. Your final piece will be sent out within 6 weeks of the retreat.

Happy Hour! Serving chips, dips, cheese, crackers, meats and sweets. Plus our favourite spirits! 🥂

Last up for Saturday is a flowing Resin Workshop with Aimee. You will learn about different types of resin, how to mix it, add powder and paste pigments and unique pouring techniques. You will pour on a test coaster to get a feel for the medium then pour on a large platter, lazy susan or canvas. You will be able to take your finished pours home on Sunday.

To finish the day off, you’ll be relaxed into a calm state with Vic who will guide you on a sound drum journey 🥰 You will already know her as she’s the one with magic hands giving massages from 4-7pm Your choice of a 20min foot or shoulder and neck massage (included!). We will have a time schedule available to book in during breakfast on Saturday.

Sunday starts with a Big breakfast complete with bacon and eggs, pancakes, yogurt, granola, fruits, croissants and toast.

Your first creative activity will get you feeling hot hot hot! A Pyrography session with Aimee who will teach you how to design and transfer it to wood, then burn it onto a round or rectangle wood board.

Next Cherie will host a lino cutting workshop where you’ll learn to carve a design into a rubber block like a pro. You’ll do a few test prints on paper then clean up for lunch.

Lunch- You’ll have a delicious toastie and salad, chips and cookies. You will then have some down time to finish your projects, read a book, chat with new friends or all of the above!

We’ll finish the day with a printmaking workshop transferring your lino design onto a calico bag and a 300gsm paper to be framed with Cherie. Farewell pictures and group hug at 4ish

Accommodation: we like to call it our ‘boho-glamping’ mezzanine. Each person has a teepee stocked with fresh linens, a towel and washer, and a comfortable foam single bed. BYO pillow and extra blanket if you'd like. We have 2 bathrooms on site and 1 hot shower. We have an espresso machine, 2 refrigerators and plenty of space to explore and create. We invite you to stay on site from Friday evening to Sunday. If you choose to stay off site, please return by 9 so you don't miss out on the delicious food and creating!

The meals are delicious, wholesome and made with love. We support our neighbour Marni who runs her own baking business. If you have any dietary restrictions let us know! She’ll take care of you. Just add it in the food request text area when booking your ticket. Include any requirements and favourite drinks (non and alcoholic ;) so you feel right at home.

If you’re interested in hosting your own private art retreat let’s talk! Great for groups of 4-20 people. You choose what activities and the date. We provide tuition in a variety of mediums with the option of catering and overnight accommodation.
