Get excited to brighten your accessory collection with a jewellery course with Jemma from The Seed Creative Workshops!
When: Course begins Tues 2nd May 2023 finishing on Tuesday 27th June
and runs weekly on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30pm for 9 weeks.
Where: onsite at Hastings Secondary College- Westport Campus in the Art Class upstairs.
Time: 2:30-3:30pm
Cost: $0 (paid through government grant)
In this fun 9 week jewellery course kids will:
- Work with 3 different jewellery mediums - polymer clay, resin, and wood and paint decoration.
- Each week students will be guided to create a unique set of accessories using one of the above methods.
- Students will learn about finishing textures, making quality keepsakes.
- Students will make colour choices based on their understanding of the theme each day.
- Students will understand how to combine pieces using jewellery findings and special tools.
- Students will gain the skills needed to set up a business and sell their creations on multiple platforms in the future.
Each child will create roughly 10-15 sets over the term.
Good for ages 10+. All supplies, aprons and tuition included.
Weekly Schedule of Projects-

Poly Clay Detailed Slab Creating a more detailed pattered slab |
Poly Clay Sculpting Creating 3D sculpted earrings/necklace. |
Wooden Earrings Painted/Posca Earrings, sealed. |
Wooden Tassel Earrings Combining wooden earrings with knotting/ macrame techniques |
Beaded Wooden/ Leather? Earrings Wooden earrings + beaded elements. |
Resin Mould Earrings | Resin Embedded Artwork Earrings Resin over pattern/ artwork on paper. |
Findings day Attatch findings, sand, trim, make wire jewelry if extra time. |
